Arkansas Honor Flight
Oct 7, 2013
This past Saturday I had the honor of spending time with over 75 of Arkansas’s World War II veterans at the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C. These veterans were participating in an Honor Flight, a program that brings World War II veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit the World War II Memorial.
As a solider in the Old Guard at Arlington National Cemetery I had the honor of serving as a military escort for several Honor Flights. Now, as a Member of Congress, I was grateful to be able to participate in this event again—especially with veterans from the Natural State. It was wonderful to be able to thank these men for their service to our country and show them the monument that was built in their honor.
