- Pine Bluff Sand and Gravel: This week I had the opportunity to visit the McGeorge family at Pine Bluff Sand and Gravel. Pine Bluff Sand and Gravel is a great local business rich with Arkansas history. In fact, this year they are celebrating the anniversary of their 100th year in business! I want to congratulate them on this important milestone! I look forward to hearing about their continued success and the important contributions they make to the community.
- District Meetings: I had several great meetings across Arkansas this week. Here is a photo from my meeting with the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors—I heard their concerns about tax reform and their work to help hard-working Arkansans manage their finances. And here is a photo from my meeting with the Arkansas Credit Union League.
- Arkansas Bankers Association: On Wednesday I had the opportunity to visit Simmons First National Bank and meet with bankers from across south Arkansas. I am grateful to the Arkansas Bankers Association for organizing this event. Be sure to read this blog post to learn more about my meeting and how I am working to help hometown banks across Arkansas.
- Evergreens Paper Mill: I took a great tour of the Evergreens Pine Bluff Paper Mill this week. As you may know, timber is one of Arkansas most important industries. With over 100 employees, Evergreens Paper Mill is a great example of hard-work and success. I really enjoyed learning more about their operation. While in Congress, I have fought against the crushing regulations the Obama Administration has unleashed on the timber industry. Click here to learn more about some of my efforts.
