Growing up on a farm in Dardanelle, my parents made sure I understood the value of a dollar and the value of saving a dollar. In high school, I worked at the U.S. Café in Dardanelle for a little extra pocket money.

Earlier today, I recognized Colonel Joseph Buche on the House Floor. Colonel Buche was born in Fayetteville, Arkansas and was my commander while I was stationed at the Old Guard in Arlington National Cemetery and while I was deployed to Afghanistan. He set the highest standard for leadership, professionalism, and duty for every Old Guard soldier.
