Rep. Cotton Sworn in as Congressman for Arkansas’ 4th District

Washington, D.C.- Yesterday, Congressman Tom Cotton (AR-04) issued the following statement after he was sworn in as Arkansas’ new 4th Congressional District Representative in the 113th Congress:

“It is a privilege and an honor to represent the residents of the 4th District in Congress. Humbly and sincerely, I took the oath of office to protect and defend the constitution.

“Our nation faces great challenges in the months and years ahead, but none so great that we cannot overcome them. As your congressman, I will work with any member, regardless of party, who seeks to reduce our deficit, balance the budget, and create an economic environment where businesses and families can thrive, not merely survive.

“I look forward to working for my constituents during the 113th Congress. And I greatly appreciate their confidence in my abilities to confront the tough issues we face, head-on.”

Representative Cotton has been appointed to the House Financial Services Committee and the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
